1° T&C LAB – 2 – 4 April 2025 “Building and defining an effective inter-sectoral and multidisciplinary educational plan for orientation based on a strategy based on integrated and differentiated educational paths”

DAY 1, April 2, 2025

The session opened with welcoming remarks by Fabio Matera, Director of
Consorzio Futuro and Dr. Francesco Massimo Manno, Headteacher IC Perugia 8.
The session opened with a welcoming address by Fabio Matera, Director of
Consorzio Futuro, followed by remarks from Dr. Francesco Massimo Manno,
Principal of I.C. Perugia 8.
This was followed by a presentation of the project experience and the
participants. Each partner organization introduced itself, outlining its training
activities, distinctive features, and engagement with the local community.
Subsequently, each organization presented its guidance and career orientation
initiatives.

CONSORZIO FUTURO (IT)

Martina Cecchini presented the Career Guidance activities of the Scuola dei Mestieri (School of Trades) managed by Consorzio Futuro. The Student Guide of Consorzio Futuro includes the implementation of the following activities: individual guidance sessions, one-on-one consultations with career counselors, “Student for a Day” experiential iniziative, school visits and enrollment support for students and their families or tutor, participation in Open Days at lower secondary schools, open Days organized by local schools, information stands with teachers and coordinators, demonstrative activities and questions and answers sessions, relationship building and direct contact, ongoing communication between school coordinators and guidance staff, personalized and continuous support, active participation in local events, including sports, music, theater, and vocational activities, opportunities for socialization and personal development. All activities are designed to encourage student participation and promote full engagement with available opportunities.
This international project provides a valuable opportunity to design new strategies that are closely connected to educational content.

TEB Edukacjasp. zo.o. (PL)

Katarzyna Wałczyńska presented best practices that support students in choosing higher education pathways:
CAREER GUIDANCE ACTIVITIES
– The guidance counselor supports students in choosing their higher education path and future profession (personal action plan, student questionnaires).
– Students receive 10 hours of career guidance at school, which is not always sufficient.

TRAINING
– Students participate in professional training activities such as workshops on new technologies
and artificial intelligence, robotics, IT training, and a driving license course.

INTERNSHIPS
– TEB students carry out internships to acquire practical skills. These experiences help them
make more informed choices regarding higher education.

EMPLOYMENT OPPORTUNITIES
– If the employer is satisfied with the student’s performance, they may offer
them a job. In many cases, this job allows students to financially support their higher education studies.

EXAMS
– Technical school students take two final examinations: a vocational qualification exam and the
national secondary school-leaving exam (Matura), which enables access to higher education.

EQUIPMENT ACQUISITION
– TEB invests in professional equipment such as an anatomy simulator, driving
simulator, virtual reality goggles, animal mannequins, and medical or photographic tools.
This allows students to experience real working conditions during their education.

ISTITUTO COMPRENSIVO Perugia 8 (IT)

Francesca Fabi, on behalf of the Comprehensive Institute, presented the structure of the school, which includes three educational levels: Preschool, Primary School, and Lower Secondary School. The Institute is known for offering a wide range of educational projects, many of which are focused on student guidance and orientation.
Simone Raus illustrated how orientation activities are integrated throughout the students’ educational journey, with the aim of supporting them in developing self-awareness, identifying their skills and interests, and gaining a better understanding of future educational and professional opportunities.
Among the most significant initiatives are: meetings with upper secondary schools, hosted within the Institute, continuity activities between school levels, designed to ease transitions and support students in making informed educational choices.

SU HRISTO YASSENOV (BG)

Maria Barkovska provided a detailed description of her educational institution and the initiatives implemented for students. She also presented the city of Etropole, which will host the final LAB of the project.

The final contribution of the day focused on the presentation of the project logo, created by Elena Ruggeri and Lija Ahmed.
The logo design was entrusted to Lija, a student enrolled in the Cross-Media Graphic Design and Communication course at Consorzio Futuro, supported by Elena Ruggeri, Head of Communication at Consorzio Futuro. Lija is currently completing an internship, and this project was assigned to her to enhance the educational value of her experience and to contribute meaningfully to the final outcome.

The logo design originated from the project’s aim to engage lower secondary school students and inform them about the opportunity to pursue Vocational Education and Training (VET) pathways to shape their future. Taking into account the target audience and the theme, Lija chose to draw inspiration from the traditional iconography of university logos—imagery that is easily recognizable and strongly associated with the educational and professional world of adolescents. She then explained her choices regarding colors, fonts, and the various versions of the logo that were created.

DAY 2 – April 3, 2025

Sonia Sorci: Analysis and discussion of the reference context, co-definition of a common strategic plan – Use of PADLET for sharing and co-creation.

Sonia Sorci from Consorzio Futuro explained the conceptual framework of the Padlet platform, designed to facilitate the collaborative work to be carried out within the project. Here is the link to the Padlet

Sonia Sorci divided the workshop experience into three parts:
Part One – Our Experience
Methodological assumptions (what we mean by career guidance, starting and ending points of a guidance pathway, how we evaluate a guidance pathway).

Part Two – Planning Guidance Activities within the Training Pathway Framework Operational planning sheet for project design (reference worlds: world of expressiveness, world of feasibility, world of possibility – macro theme, development phase, objectives, target audience, involved subjects, highlighted human qualities, knowledge combination, activity significance).

Part Three – Evaluation of Guidance Activities within the Training Pathway Framework. Operational evaluation sheet: world of expressiveness (student feedback – learning enhancement), world of feasibility (what happened – experience review – result analysis), world of possibility (what is still possible:
expectations versus outcomes).

Teacher Training – Accademia Creativa – A workshop for Self-Discovery and Growth.

Theater is a universal language capable of communicating with young people in a direct and engaging way. Introducing it into the school environment means offering a safe space where students can express themselves, take risks, and discover more about themselves and others. At a complex age such as pre-adolescence, theater workshops become a valuable tool to explore the world of emotions, recognize them, and give them a voice.
The workshop was led by Luca Sargenti from Accademia Creativa

Theatre Workshop: A Workshop for Self-Discovery and Growth – Career Guidance and Self-Awareness – Meetings with Experts and Practical Simulations.

Students from the third grade of lower secondary school at Istituto. Comprensivo Perugia 8 participated in the theatre workshop held in the school gymnasium. The partnership working group attended the workshop while simultaneously working on PADLET to share notes and highlight significant moments from the session.
The workshop focused on career guidance and self-awareness, two essential aspects to support students in their personal and academic growth.
Through theatrical play, students were guided through a creative and reflective experience that has helped—and will continue to help—them become aware of their emotions, resources, and aspirations.

Given the short duration of the program, the workshop took the shape of an intense and meaningful theatrical experience rather than an ongoing project. Nevertheless, even in this condensed format, it remained a concrete and constructive educational opportunity for the participating students, leaving a
significant impact on their personal growth journey.

The workshop was led by actor and theatre expert Luca Sargenti, who has been working in the theatre field—both artistic and educational—for over twenty years. His experience with young people and adults, combined with a careful and inclusive approach, made the workshop a stimulating, safe, and deeply enriching experience.
This was not just about “doing theatre,” but about living it as a transformative experience where each student could explore different roles, discover their talents, overcome insecurities, and strengthen their self-esteem.

The work continued in the afternoon with a guided tour of the institute and co-planning of the upcoming “work project” activities.
After 4:30 PM, the working group moved to Perugia’s historic city center for a guided tour of the main historical and artistic sites of the acropolis

DAY 3 – APRIL 4, 2025

On the third day, for logistical reasons (Consorzio Futuro is located near the train station and Minimetrò), the working group agreed to hold the activities at Consorzio Futuro’s premises instead of at the Comprehensive Institute.

The session began with an intervention by Giulia Zago from Consorzio Futuro, who facilitated the definition of a shared glossary focusing on the theme: “The Career Guidance Counselor: Models, Techniques, and Tools.” The group discussed the role of the counselor, whose main tasks include active listening, needs analysis, and guidance in educational and career choices. Methods used include individual interviews, orientation tests, and group workshops. The role of the counselor can be fulfilled by various professionals (psychologists, educators, counselors, teachers). The importance of guidance for personal and professional growth and empathy was emphasized. The counselor is characterized by an empathetic and non-judgmental approach, the ability to build a trusting relationship with the user, and the aim to promote autonomy in the young person’s decision-making.

Each partner described the dissemination activities carried out within the project.

The meeting continued with a presentation by Dr. Luisa Baldella and Dr. Elisabetta Croccolino from the Orientation Unit of the Regional School Office of Umbria on the topic: “Insights into European, National, and Local Policies and Guidelines on Career Guidance: Exchange of Best Practices.” This intervention was particularly relevant for discussion with the Italian partners as it focused on the Reform of the Italian Guidance System, specifically the Guidelines for Career Guidance approved by Ministerial Decree No. 328 of December 22, 2022.

The session proceeded with Trainer Training led by Luca Sargenti from Accademia Creativa, who shared feedback from the theatre workshop. The discussion deepened the understanding of self-awareness through emotions, body language, proactive posture, and empathy.

The session concluded with the planning of tasks and upcoming LAB activities scheduled in Poland and Bulgaria.
